Game Rules
Setup
Each player receives:
- 3 face-down cards (identity unknown until played)
- 3 face-up cards (visible to all players)
- 3 cards in hand (only visible to the player)
Objective
The goal is to be the first player to play all your cards - first from your hand, then your face-up cards, and finally your face-down cards.
Game Flow
- The game starts with an empty discard pile
- Players can exchange cards from their hand with their face-up cards before the first turn begins *
- Players take turns clockwise, starting with a randomly determined player
- On your turn, you must play at least one card onto the discard pile
- If you cannot play, you must pick up the entire discard pile into your hand
- If you cannot play and do not have any cards in your hand, you can also pick cards of the same rank from your face-up cards*
As long as the draw pile is not empty, you must draw cards to always have at least 3 cards in hand at the end of your turn.
Card Playing Rules
- You must play cards in order: hand cards first, then face-up cards, then face-down cards
- Cards played must be of equal or higher rank than the top card in the discard pile
- You can play multiple cards of the same rank at once
- You can only access your face-up cards when your hand is empty
- You can only access your face-down cards when both your hand and face-up cards are empty
Special Cards
- 2s: Can be played on any card (wildcards)
- 3s: Can be played on any card (wildcards)
- 7s: When played, the next player must play a 7 or lower
- 8s: When played, the next player is skipped, multiple 8s can be played in a row to skip multiple players
- 10s: When played, the discard pile is "burned" (removed from play), the player who played the card can play again
- Jokers: Wild cards that can be assigned any rank
Other Rules
- Four (or more) cards of the same rank in a row clears the discard pile, the player who played the last card can play again
- When playing from face-down, if the card cannot be legally played, you must take the entire discard pile into your hand
- Face-up cards can be played with hand cards only when all hand cards of the same rank are played together
- When a player only has 3s in hand and the draw pile is empty, the player can play all 3s at once and they inherit the rank of the last card played (or 3 if the pile is empty). It is allowed to play additional face-up cards on that turn if they have the same value as the inherited rank*
Scoring
Each player gets a point for the position they finish in. The first player to finish gets 1 point, the second player gets 2 points, and so on. The last player to finish gets the most points.
Fatalities
A fatality occurs when the last card of the game is played and determines the loser of the game. These are some of the possible fatalities:
- Mic Drop: when one or more 8s are played
- Burn Unit: when one or more 10s are played
